Field of View Capture Tool

 

There is often a project requirement to validate the flame detector's field of view per the performance-based mapping study.

Until now manufacturers have used a laser and test holder arrangement to trace out the field of view. This has challenges as the laser light can be difficult to see in bright conditions and checking the field of view is time-consuming and provides no permanent coverage record.

The FlameSpec™  FlameView reduces the time to capture the detectors operating field of view from tens of minutes per device to just a couple of minutes by taking a image of the field of view, upon which the detection coverage is automatically superimposed based on fuel type, sensitivity, and fire size.

This tag specific, permanently captured record can be used for routine installation comparisons to validate coverage, per site requirements.
